On a cold New Year's Eve 10 years ago, you would have found Trey and Jennifer singing for friends and family in a living room. Now after years of singing, writing, and performing, the two have come together to form a duo that has been a decade in the making. With Jennifer's years of stage performance, and Trey's writing and performing savy, Smithfield has become a prominent force in the new-wave country scene with their soul wrenching lyrics and spot-on harmonies.
After writing their first hit, "You Go First", they knew very quickly that there was some serious potential in the direction of this new venture, and wasted no time in making it to Nashville to get it to the right people. After meetings with names such as WME Entertainment, and Carnival Music Publishing, they soon caught the attention of several people in Music City. Since making their first headway in Nashville, they're now residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, cultivating a career and perfecting their craft.
